Eric Blashford will become the CEO and president of US wind industry supplier Broadwind Energy Inc (NASDAQ:BWEN) when Stephanie Kushner retires, the company announced on Monday.
Blashford, who currently acts as chief operating officer of the company, will take over his new role on March 1.
"Our Board is confident that Eric will execute on our existing strategy, which includes a focus on the profitable diversification of our customer base and end-markets,” said chairman David Reiland.
Kushner will remain a member of the board of directors after stepping down as CEO, the statement said.
Broadwind supplies the wind industry with gears and gearing systems as well as towers for turbines.
