July 9 (Renewables Now) - US-based wind industry supplier Broadwind Energy Inc (NASDAQ:BWEN) on Monday reported USD 39 million (EUR 34.8m) worth of new tower and fabrication orders.

The wind towers will be manufactured at Broadwind’s factories in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and Abilene, Texas. They are planned to be delivered in 2019 and 2020.

“We are encouraged by our progress to date securing orders that will support a robust 2020 installation schedule,” said Stephanie Kushner, Broadwind’s resident and CEO.

Last month, the US firm unveiled two wind tower orders with a combined value of USD 59 million. Its CEO said at the time that Broadwind is in active discussions on securing additional orders for its 2020 production volume.
