July 4 (SeeNews) - Austrian battery maker Kreisel Electric GmbH has introduced a home energy storage system, becoming the latest company to make a move into the emerging market.

The product, called Mavero, is a wall-mounted electricity storage system for private and commercial application. It was presented in Berlin last month.

Using Li-ion technology, the system has a modular design and will be available in four sizes, from 8 kWh to 22 kWh, the company said in a press release today. The retail price should be below EUR 700 (USD 778) per kWh. Deliveries are scheduled to start in early 2017.
