Swedish Opcon to supply flue gas condensation unit to Dutch biomass-heated greenhouse

Dec 1, 2011 - Swedish industrial technology company Opcon AB (STO:OPCO) said today it had won a contract to supply its SRE Renergi flue gas condensation equipment to Dutch flowers producer Kwekerij Wouters, which has already switched to biomass.
Financial details were not available.

Via the installation of Opcon's technology, energy efficiency can be improved by up to 20-30% depending on which fuel is used. This means that Kwekerij Wouters can get a further 1-1.5 MW out of its 5-MW boiler, Opcon underscored.

The equipment, which is due for delivery in early 2012, will be Opcon's fourth flue gas condensation unit in the Netherlands.

The Swedish company has entered the deal via its subsidiary Opcon Bioenergy.
