Swedish Eolus Vind reaches 580 MW installed capacity
Oct 29, 2012 - Swedish wind farm developer Eolus Vind AB (STO:EOLU B) said Friday it installed eight Vestas V90 2.0 MW wind turbines in southern Sweden, reaching an installed capacity of 580 MW, or more than 400 turbines.
The newest turbines, located in Hakarp, Ronneby, have a height of 105 m (344.5 ft) and are expected to have an annual production of some 40 GWh.
Eolus installed its first turbine in 1991 and reached number 300 in July 2011.
According to information by Swedish wind power association Svensk Vindenergi, cited by Eolus, at end-June 2012 there were a total 2,110 wind turbines in Sweden, with a combined capacity of 3,089 MW.
