Swedish Arise books higher power output in Aug 2014
Sep 11, 2014 - Swedish onshore wind farms developer Arise AB (STO:ARISE) said Tuesday its electricity production in August increased to 45 GWh from 29.5 GWh a year earlier.
The improved results were attributed to better than normal wind conditions in the reporting period, Arise explained. The produced electricity is also higher than the company’s output of 29.4 GWh from July.
Arise noted that about 31.5 GWh of its total power generation last month came from the own wind power operations, while the rest 13.5 GWh was produced by co-owned wind parks.
At the end of July, the Swedish firm said it had turned to an after-tax loss of SEK 33 million (USD 4.6m/EUR 3.6m) in the second quarter of 2014 after a profit of SEK 3 million a year earlier as net sales fell to SEK 35 million from SEK 47 million.
