Swedish AF to supply EUR 5m consulting services for Finnish CPH plant

Oct 2, 2012 - Swedish engineering consultant AF AB (STO:AF B) said today it won a consultancy deal, worth some EUR 5 million (USD 6.5m), for a new combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Tampere, southern Finland.

The customer is Tammervoima Oy.

The deal covers pre-engineering, implementation engineering, procurement, project management as well as site and commissioning management services. The above mentioned estimated contract value includes EUR 1 million related to an option for delivery, site and commissioning services.

The new CHP in Tampere is expected to produce some 100 GWh of power and 300 GWh of heat a year, using 150,000 tonnes of municipal waste as fuel. The facility is due to become operational in late 2015.
