Suzlon unveils orders for 140 MW of wind turbines

Oct 18, 2012 - Indian wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy (BOM:532667) today said it had won supply orders for 140 MW of wind turbines in the period from August 13 to October 13.

The volume excludes orders the firm has announced in separate statements during that period.

Suzlon and its unit Repower Systems have received the orders unveiled today from international utilities, public sector undertakings, large corporations and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Eastern Europe, France, Germany and at home, it said. Indian firms Baidyanath Group, Rajasthan Gums (P) Ltd, Gujarat Alkalis and Chemicals Ltd and Belgian company Bredekop Wind bvba are some of the contractors, Suzlon disclosed.

The Indian wind turbine maker added that it had separately announced 650 MW of turbine orders during the same period.
