Switzerland-based SUSI Partners AG said on Friday that a renewable energy fund advised by it has acquired the 21-MW Kopsa I wind farm in central Finland from local utility Puhuri Oy.
The transaction, the value of which was not dicslosed, was completed on October 17. With this purchase, SUSI Renewable Energy Fund II (SUSI RE II) now has two wind parks in Finland.
The wind farm is located near the city of Oulu and consists of seven units of Siemens’ SWT-2.0.113 turbines, together capable of generating some 65 GWh of electricity per year.
“The transaction allows Puhuri and its owners to construct other renewable production plants such as the Haapavesi Bioproduct Factory, where environmental impact assessment has just started,” said Antti Vilkuna, CEO of Puhuri.
SUSI noted that German Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg has provided the debt financing for the wind farm. Ilmatar Windpower Oy will manage the asset.
