Spanish Geansa to build 50 MW wind farm in Antequera - report
Dec 19, 2012 - Spanish wind energy company Geansa will build a 50 MW wind farm in the municipality of Antequera, Spanish southern province of Malaga, the company's representative Angel Rodriguez said yesterday, quoted by a local newspaper.
The wind project, requiring an investment of some EUR 60 million (USD 79.6m), will be consisted of two separate facilities, situated in the areas of Gomez Velasco and Dona Maria, respectively. The first wind facility will be equipped with 16 wind turbines having a combined capacity of 32 MW. The wind farm in the Dona Maria area will be of 18 MW, distributed among 9 turbines.
The wind farm will be able to power about 30,000 homes.
