Spanish Ence invites bids for biomass power plants construction - report
Aug 5, 2011 - Spanish power utility and pulp manufacturer Ence (MCE:ENC) has sent bid invitations to Spanish builders for the construction of biomass power plants in Merida and Melgar de Fernamental, with a capacity of 20 MW each, news agency Europa Press said today.
Moreover, the company is offering a framework agreement for the construction of an additional six biomass power plants.
Under its 2011-2015 development programme, Ence plans building nine biomass power plants with a combined capacity of 210 MW for a total investment of EUR 525 million (USD 742.9m).
Spanish builder OHL (MCE:OHL) recently won a EUR-125-million contract for the construction of the first biomass power plant in Huelva, with a capacity of 50 MW.
