February 22 (Renewables Now) - Spanish utility Holaluz posted revenues of EUR 180 million (USD 204.1m) and positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in 2018, underpinned by the 65% increase of the customer base.

Holaluz, a company that sources its electricity from renewables, said Wednesday that it had 180,000 customers in the Spanish market at the end of 2018. For 2019, it plans to grow this list to 350,000 and to generate EUR 350 million in revenue, while in 2020 its top line is seen at EUR 800 million.

Another objective for the company is to reach 1,000 MW of power purchase agreements (PPAs) by the end of 2021.

Earlier this year, Holaluz signed a three-year PPA with EDF Solar for the output of three solar plants totalling 120 MW in Spain and Portugal.
