Black Hills to add more turbines to 40-MW wind project in Wyoming
Dec 06, 2019 14:16 CESTMarch 5 (Renewables Now) - Sonnen Inc, the US unit of the German energy storage group, last week presented its new US Board of Directors (BOD), which will work to grow its residential energy storage business throughout North and Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Coming from Tesla, where he acted as North American Powerwall Sales Manager, Blake Richetta is now chairman and CEO of Sonnen Inc. Carlos Restrepo has been appointed CTO, Brent Stayer COO, and James Claflin CFO.
The US subsidiary will continue to manage growth, innovation and manufacturing for the Americas and the Caribbean from its headquarters in Tucker, Georgia, Sonnen Inc said. In February energy major Royal Dutch Shell Plc (AMS:RDSA) said it would buy 100% of Sonnen Group for an undisclosed sum.
Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables today announced that the US has added 777 MWh of storage capacity in 2018, 80% more than in the previous year. The residential storage market quadrupled year-over-year.
