Siemens to spend GBP 80m on wind-turbine site in UK - report

(ADPnews) - Oct 25, 2010 - German engineering group Siemens (ETR:SIE) plans to invest some GBP 80 million (USD 126m/EUR 90m) to set up a wind-turbine manufacturing plant in the UK, dpa-AFX agency reported today, citing sources in the know.

The new factory will employ about 700.

The conglomerate seeks strong growth in the wind-power segment, in which the UK has proved to be among the most important markets, the agency said.
