Siemens to move its wind energy business to Germany

Aug 25, 2011 - German engineering group Siemens AG (ETR:SIE) has decided to transfer the headquarters of its wind energy division form its current location in Brande, western Denmark, to Hamburg, northern Germany.

More details will be announced in September, a spokesman of Siemens said on Wednesday and thus confirmed a report of daily Hamburger Abendblatt from Tuesday.

Currently, Siemens has 1,300 employees in Hamburg, however, the number is expected to increase after the wind energy business is moved there.
