Senvion wins service contract extensions for 108 MW in Italy

Senvion SA (ETR:SEN) announced today it has won extensions for two existing service contracts tied to Italian wind farms with a combined capacity of 107.8 MW.

The debt-laden company, which entered preliminary self-administered insolvency proceedings last month, will continue to service the Vento di Vino-Mazara of Libeccio plant in Sicily for Libeccio Srl over the next eight years. This wind farm consists of seven Senvion 3.4M turbines with individual capacities of 3.4 MW.

Also, ERG Power Generation SpA has renewed Senvion’s contract to service the Ginestra and Troia San Vincenzo wind farms, which comprise 20 Senvion MM92 and 21 Senvion MM82 turbines, respectively. The combined capacity of the two plants exceeds 84 MW and they will continue to be operated under a single contract.

Senvion noted that it services about 14.1 GW of installed capacity around the world, including the above-mentioned plants.
