German wind turbine maker Senvion SA (ETR:SEN) said on Tuesday it has signed a delivery partnership agreement for the Murra Warra wind project in Australia with a capacity surpassing 429 MW.
Senvion Australia Pty Ltd has entered into the agreement with the local unit of UK-based Renewable Energy Systems (RES) and its project partners. It said that the deal covers the early works, currently underway, and is a precursor to achieving financial close.
The German company will deliver turbines of the 3.7M144 type, which is being designed for the specific project.
The 116-turbine scheme will be realised at a site in the state of Victoria. It received planning permit from the state government in December 2016, when its total cost was estimated at AUD 662 million (USD 499m/EUR 446m).
