SaraRasa starts renewable fuel production at Indonesian plant

(SeeNews) – Jun 13, 2013 – Finnish project management services and software provider Dovre Group Plc said today its associate SaraRasa had started renewable fuel production at its plant in Indonesia.

The facility, which was opened on June 11, 2013, produces pellets with the use of waste biomass from the food industry.

The factory has a production capacity of 50,000 tonnes per year and will thus be one of the biggest pellets manufacturers in the Southeast Asian region, Dovre said.

Demand for pellets in Asia is strong and is expected to double in 2013. Therefore, a projection of three to five million tonnes annually is awaited until 2015, head of SaraRasa Saku Rantanen said.
