RWE Innogy to market Quietrevolution wind turbines in Germany
(ADPnews) - Nov 24, 2010 – UK-based wind turbine maker Quietrevolution said yesterday it will see up to 100 of its turbines marketed to Germany by the end of 2011 under a sales agreement it entered with RWE Innogy, the renewable energy arm of German utility RWE AG (ETR:RWE).
Two of the turbines have already been commissioned by Essen-based companies and a further four are due to be installed in the coming months.
Quietrevolution has spent four years developing a safe wind turbine with low noise and low vibration, which can be sited near residential areas. Currently, it makes its newly-designed qr5 wind turbines in its South Wales production base in the UK. The company has installed around 120 of these turbines in the UK to date.
