Construction starts on 34-MW wind expansion project in Lower Austria
May 25, 2022 18:44 CESTMay 4 (Renewables Now) - RTS Wind said it has secured a contract from Danish energy group Ørsted A/S (CPH:ORSTED) to provide offshore blade maintenance at its Burbo Bank offshore wind farm in the UK.
RTS Wind provides services to the global onshore and offshore wind industry, with its offerings including blade maintenance, specialist recruitment, service and maintenance, and high voltage services. The company says it is currently undergoing rapid growth and team expansion. It has offices in Germany and Austria and in the UK, where the business was once known as KMB Recruitment.
Burbo Bank is a 90-MW wind farm in Liverpool Bay that was commissioned in 2007. It consists of 25 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines of 3.6 MW each. An extension to the project, the 258-MW Burbo Bank Extension, was completed in 2017.
