NovaWind, the wind power division of Russian nuclear energy corporation Rosatom, has entered into a cooperation agreement with An Xuan Energy for the construction of a 128-MW wind farm in Vietnam.
The partnership is for a project in Son La province, northwestern Vietnam.
NovaWind’s CEO Grigoriy Nazarov stated that the Russian firm is ready to engage in international projects in the wind power sector.
“Rosatom is already implementing a number of projects in Vietnam in the field of energy and science, and now these areas of cooperation are expanding. Wind power projects will both contribute to energy security and industrial development of the region and accelerate country’s transition to a sustainable energy mix,” Nazarov said.
