Repower Systems to supply 25 turbines to US EverPower Wind in 2011
(ADPnews) - Dec 15, 2010 - German Repower Sytems AG (ETR:RPW) said on Tuesday its US subsidiary has signed a contract with EverPower Wind Holdings Inc. for the delivery of 25 wind turbines of the type MM92 with capacity of 2.05 MW each.
The German wind turbine maker said it had also negotiated an option for the supply of another 85 turbines to EverPower, but did not disclose financial details of the deal.
The 25 turbines, which will be delivered in the summer of 2011, will be installed in wind farms of EverPower based in the states of New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington and start operations by the end of the year.
Each turbine is capable of producing 6.5 million kWh of electricity per year.
Repower, which is owned by Indian wind power group Suzlon Energy Ltd (BOM:532667), has also signed a long-term maintenance and services agreement with EverPower.
The German company did not name the exact period of the maintenance contract.
