ReNew Power contracts Inox Wind for 50-MW project in Gujarat

Indian wind turbine maker Inox Wind Ltd (BOM:539083) said today it will build a 50-MW wind farm in Gujarat state for independent power producer ReNew Power Ventures Pvt Ltd.

This is a repeat order from ReNew Power and is part of the contracts for a total of 350 MW Inox Wind unveiled in the beginning of the month, it explained in a statement.

Under the terms of the deal, Inox Wind will supply and erect 25 units of its advanced 2-MW wind turbines with a rotor diameter of 113 metres (370.7 ft). The wind farm they will form is expected to be commissioned by March 2017.

Inox Wind did not mention the value of this turnkey order from ReNew Power, but previously noted that the contracts for 350 MW combined are worth over INR 20 billion (USD 299m/EUR 275m).
