REG unveils 4 new biodiesel distribution points in NY, NJ
Nov 30, 2012 - US biodiesel producer Renewable Energy Group (NASDAQ:REGI), or REG, on Thursday said it had one new biodiesel distribution location in New Jersey and three other in New York.
The positions are in Whippany, New Jersey and in New Hyde Park, Port Chester and near Brookhaven in New York.
Having positions at the biggest biodiesel terminal network in New York is in line with the company's expansion into the Northeast market, REG's chief executive Daniel Oh said.
The biodiesel distribution point in New Hyde Park is to enable local distributors and heating oil retailers to boost supply as the biodiesel blend (B2) requirement in New York City becomes effective again on December 1. The requirement was waived because of superstorm Sandy late last month, REG's vice president of sales Gary Haer said.
