Public-private partnership to build offshore wind tower components plant in Poland - report
Oct 28, 2011 - A public-private partnership will develop a factory for offshore wind tower components in Szczecin, northern Poland, national daily Puls Biznesu reports.
Local shipyard Gryfia will provide land for the project, while investment fund Mars will probably secure the capital funding. According to the daily, an unnamed German partner is also seen as a possible provider of funding and know-how.
After two years of operation, the plant is expected to reach a production capacity of 60,000 tonnes to 80,000 tonnes of wind turbine components a year.
