February 10 (Renewables Now) - New Zealand-based consultancy firm PSC has continued its European expansion with the acquisition of the UK-based power system business of Danish engineering and design consulting services firm Ramboll Group A/S.

As of February 1, senior experts from Ramboll's power systems unit will help boost PSC UK with their experience in owner’s engineer services, power system feasibility studies, technical due diligence, regulatory consultancy services and project management.

Gart Landels, who headed Ramboll's UK power systems unit, will now head PSC UK's power networks division.

The latest move comes after PSC last month acquired Ireland-based firm Gridconnect, which provides technical advice for the renewable power generation industry and brings to PSC expertise in grid connection, substation and HV installation design and construction supervision of generator installations.

PSC UK now has 34 electricity experts and regional offices in London, Newcastle and Warwick in the UK, as well as in Dublin, Ireland and Ludvika, Sweden.
