PNE Wind prepares 94 MW of assets for 150-MW yieldco

German wind farm developer PNE Wind AG (ETR:PNE3) said on Thursday that about 94 MW of the 150 MW planned for the company’s yieldco vehicle have already been commissioned or entered the construction phase.

To be more specific, PNE Wind has started building the 21.3-MW Koehlen wind park in Lower Saxony. The facility, which will comprise seven Enercon E101 wind turbines, is expected to become operational in the final quarter of next year.

The company is meanwhile working on the 9-MW Waldfeucht and 6-MW Apensen II wind projects in North-Rhine Westphalia and Lower Saxony, respectively. Also, as announced in August, PNE Wind has commissioned the 57.6-MW Chransdorf wind park in Brandenburg.

All of these assets will be added to the yieldco portfolio upon completion.

“In addition to the projects headed for our YieldCo, we are currently developing other wind farms in Germany that will be sold directly to our customers," said management board member Markus Lesser.
