June 4 (Renewables Now) - German renewable energy firm PNE AG (ETR:PNE3), via its wholly-owned unit WKN GmbH, has sold the 113-MW Malarberget wind project in Sweden to Israel’s Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TLV:ENLT).

The project’s developer is WKN’s Swedish unit VKS Vindkraft Sverige AB which will stay onboard to build the wind farm for Enlight, PNE said last week. In addition, PNE will manage technical and commercial aspects of the wind farm after it goes online.

The Malarberget project is located some 150 kilometres north-west of Stockholm. It will be equipped with 27 wind turbines of 4 MW each. Construction is slated to begin in the near future, with commissioning planned to take place by the end of 2020, the German firm said.
