November 18 (Renewables Now) - German renewables developer PNE AG (ETR:PNE3) has put into operation a 25-MW wind park in the state of Lower Saxony, expanding its own wind portfolio to 198 MW.

The Boitzenhagen wind farm, developed by PNE, is located in the Gifhorn district of the state of Lower Saxony and consists of six Vestas V136 wind turbines and one Vestas V126 unit, the company said on Wednesday.

The green electricity produced by the facility will be fed into the power grid through a newly built substation and will be enough for the annual supply of 14,500 households.

This is the third wind park in the portfolio of the Cuxhaven-based company commissioned in 2021 following the launch of two facilities of 17 MW earlier this year. Construction works on more wind farms are underway as the company targets to expand its own portfolio to up to 500 MW by 2023.
