May 31 (Renewables Now) - Finnish concrete connections and composite structures supplier Peikko Group Corp said today it will deliver rock foundation technology to the 96.6-MW Sorfjord wind project in northern Norway.

The order is from Sorfjord Vindpark AS, which is fully owned by Finnish energy group Fortum Oyj (HEL:FORTUM). Under it, Peikko will supply all steel components for the wind park's 23 foundations, including Fatbar Rock Anchors, tower adapter plates, drilling templates and foundation reinforcement. The company will also be in charge of the foundation design and structural calculations. Deliveries are planned to take place between July and October 2018.

The wind farm, which will use 23 units of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy's (BME:SGRE) SWT130-4.2 MW turbines, is expected to come online by the second half of 2019.
