Swedish renewables developer OX2 AB (STO:OX2) announced today that it has been awarded a contract to manage the 90-MW Murtomaki wind farm in Finland.
The firm said it had been selected to provide technical, commercial and financial management services on behalf of the wind farm’s owner, Nordics-focused Alandsbanken Wind Power Fund.
The Murtomaki site is located outside the Finnish town of Pyhajarvi. Alandsbanked ordered 15 pieces of Vestas V162-6.0 MW wind turbines for the project.
The wind farm is expected to be up and running in the third quarter of 2023.
“Optimized wind farm operation is a key focus area for Alandsbanken Wind Power Fund. Through its tested analytical processes and wide reference base OX2 is well-positioned to provide the Murtomaki wind farm with TCM services that benefit our investors.”, commented Juha Kankanen, Investment Director at Alandsbanken Funds.
For OX2, Murtomaki is the ninth externally built wind farm that will benefit from its technical and commercial management. The firm is providing these services for some 3.6 GW of wind farms in Sweden, Finland, Lithuania and Poland, it says.
