Opcon's Saxlund to supply biomass handling system in Berlin
Dec 20, 2012 - Swedish industrial technology group Opcon AB's (STO:OPCO) today said its wholly-owned bioenergy unit Saxlund International had received a SEK-25-million (USD 3.8m/EUR 2.9m) contract to deliver in Germany a biomass handling system.
The system will be used in the conversion of a coal-fired power plants in Berlin to co-firing with biomass.
Under the contract, Saxlund will supply external and internal biomass handling systems, including wood reception areas and storage and conveyor systems, with delivery slated for near end of 2013.
Earlier this year, Opcon received a similar biomass handling supply system contract in Berlin, it added.
