Ocean Thermal Energy Corporation (OTCMKTS:TDYSD), or OTE, announced on Wednesday it has been cleared to upgrade its common stock from the Pink Open Market to the OTCQB Venture Market with immediate effect.
"We believe that the increased transparency that this upgrade enables will facilitate a more liquid market for our common stock, broaden our shareholder base, and enhance our overall credibility as we continue our work to bring OTEC and SWAC technology to millions of people around the world,” said Jeremy P Feakins, the company’s chairman and CEO.
OTE’s ticker symbol will change to “CPWR” on June 22, 2017.
The Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based company develops projects in the fields of Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC), clean hydrothermal energy and Seawater District Cooling/Seawater Air Conditioning (SWAC). It says that its technology uses the natural temperature differential in oceans to generate base-load electricity, and is best suited to tropical and subtropical regions.
OTE got the chance to upgrade its common stock after implementing a reverse merger with TetriDyn Solutions Inc earlier this month.
