Irish green asset manager NTR Plc said today it has concluded a GBP-55-million (USD 70.5m/EUR 65.6m) refinancing of the 29-MW Twin Rivers wind farm in Yorkshire, England.
NTR successfully completed the refinancing of Twin Rivers’ existing debt facilities with MUFG’s core banking unit. It noted that MUFG is also involved in NTR’s 35-MW Airies project in Scotland.
The Irish company acquired the Twin Rivers project just four months ago, in December 2016, from InfraRed Environmental Infrastructure Fund and the Co-operative Group. It said at the time that the capital costs for the scheme were estimated at just over GBP 80 million.
NTR said that the wind farm had become fully operational in recent weeks. It consists of 14 units of Senvion’s MM92 turbines that can generate enough electricity to cover the annual consumption of about 20,500 homes.
