Spain's renewables hit 48.6% share with Nov wind power
Dec 12, 2019 15:12 CESTMay 4 (SeeNews) - Spanish medium-scale wind turbines manufacturer Norvento on Wednesday introduced a new 100-kW model of its nED100 unit for the post-subsidy UK medium wind market.
The new turbine can be ordered as of May 4, with first deliveries scheduled to arrive in the final quarter of the year, the company said in a press release.
The machine has a smaller direct drive permanent magnet generator and a lighter nacelle, but is more efficient than the first-generation model. It can be ordered with an optional new 12-metre blade design that is optimised for Class III low wind conditions.
“nED100 gives buyers the opportunity to produce their own electricity at a price cheaper than the one sourced from the grid,” said Ivo Arnus, director of UK Business Development at Norvento.
