Northland Power Inc (TSE:NPI) has opened an offshore wind operations hub in Germany, the Canadian power producer said on Monday.
Initially the focus will be on realising synergies across the operating 332-MW Nordsee One wind farm and the 269-MW Deutsche Bucht project, which is under construction. The hub will also support the company’s project development activities globally.
Northland has centralised operations and maintenance operations in a port-side facility in the village of Norddeich, while commercial and engineering activities are run from a new office in the Hamburg area.
"We have the people, expertise, and proximity to expand our capabilities and realize significant synergies, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to strong results and continued growth," said Northland chief operations officer Troy Patton.
