April 8 (Renewables Now) - Germany’s Nordex (ETR:NDX1) has won an order to deliver turbines for a 29.96-MW wind park in Finland for compatriot Energiequelle GmbH.
The deal was placed last month and unveiled by the wind turbine manufacturer on Tuesday. Under its terms, Nordex will supply and install seven units of its N149/4.0-4.5 machines in cold-climate versions and an anti-icing system to suit the site’s specific weather conditions. The maximum operation mode of the turbines will be 4,280 kW.
The equipment will be powering the Konttisuo wind farm that will be installed near the municipality of Soini, on the border of Southern Ostrobothnia and Central Finland. The turbines’ installation and grid-connection will be carried out in 2021, Nordex said. The German firm will also service machines for 25 years.
This is wind power developer Energiequelle’s first order with Nordex. The Germany-headquartered company has built more than 750 wind parks with a combined capacity of 1,400 MW, according to the statement.
