Nordex to install 94-MW wind farm in Poland

June 11 (Renewables Now) - German wind turbine supplier Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said on Tuesday it has won a contract for a 94-MW wind farm in the northern part of Poland.

Nordex Polska will supply and erect 28 units of its N131/3600 turbines and one N117/3000 machine to form the Pomerania wind farm near the town of Sztum. The order was awarded to the German firm by Lithuanian utility Lietuvos Energija and it also includes a 15-year premium service agreement.

The project is expected to be finalised in the summer of 2020. Upon completion, the Pomerania wind farm is seen to achieve a capacity factor of over 40%.

Nordex noted that this is the largest order to date for its Polish unit.
