Nordex to deliver 63-MW wind park in Lithuania for Ignitis

November 25 (Renewables Now) - A unit of German turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) has received a EUR-77.5-million (USD 92.2m) order from a subsidiary of utility Ignitis Group (VSE:IGN1L), or AB Ignitis Grupe, to deliver a 63-MW wind farm in Lithuania’s Mazeikiai region.

Specifically, Nordex Energy SE & Co KG has entered into an agreement to supply 14 turbines, build the wind park and provide maintenance services to the completed plant for a period of 15 years.

The project, with a total cost estimated at more than EUR 80 million, is being developed by UAB VVP Investment, which is owned by UAB Ignitis Renewables. Construction work is expected to be finalised by the end of 2022.
