Nordex to deliver 55 MW of wind turbines for Italian projects

July 14 (Renewables Now) - German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) has received orders to equip with Delta4000 machines two Italian wind farms for a combined capacity of 54.9 MW, it announced on Wednesday.

The company will deliver five units of the N149/5.X turbine for a 26.1-MW project and six N133/4.8 machines for a 28.8-MW plant, both located in the region of Campania. Furthermore, it will service the wind parks for an initial two years with the possibility of extending the contract a number of times for a total of up to 10 years.

Nordex did not disclose the names of the projects or the customer. It anticipates starting the installation of the turbines next summer and completing the process in the autumn of 2022.

The wind turbine supplier noted it has recorded orders for 143 MW from Italy since the start of the year. It plans to fulfil all of them in the course of 2022.
