German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said on Friday that in August it received eight new orders from various clients at home for a total capacity of 71.7 MW.
The company will supply a total of 28 wind turbines for projects at locations from Lower Saxony to Bavaria, it said in a press statement.
The largest of the new contracts is for the 19.2-MW Heinsberg-Randerath project near Cologne in North-Rhine Westphalia. Nordex will deliver eight N117/2400 turbines on 120-metre tubular steel towers for that development. In addition, the company will lay the foundations for the wind park and will service the plant for a period of 15 years under a Premium Service contract.
Commissioning of the Heinsberg-Randerath wind farm is scheduled for the first half of next year.
