Spain's Telefonica to pursue 100% renewable energy by 2030
Dec 11, 2019 15:55 CESTNovember 13 (Renewables Now) - Germany’s Nordex (ETR:NDX1) today said it has secured orders to deliver 248 MW of wind turbines for three wind parks in Turkey.
More specifically, the wind turbine manufacturer will supply 21 units of its N149/4.0-4.5 machines with a rated capacity of 4.8 MW to its long-standing customer Boydak Enerji. The latter will use the equipment at the 110.8-MW Omerli wind park near Istanbul. The same company has also ordered 22 units of the N117/3675 turbines for the 80.9-MW Sibel wind farm that Nordex will build in the Aegean region between Izmir and Manisa.
Separately, the German company will deliver 14 of the N149/4.0-4.5 turbines with a rated capacity of 4.8 MW each to an unnamed utility in Turkey. The equipment will be powering a 67-MW wind park in the Marmara region.
All of these contracts include premium service agreements for 10 years, Nordex said.
Since entering the Turkish market, Nordex has installed over 2.03 GW of turbine capacity there, giving it a market share of nearly 27%.
