Nordex reports 181 MW of new turbine deals in Germany

Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) announced that over the past two months, it has secured orders to deliver 32 turbines with a combined capacity of 181 MW in Germany.

The orders were placed by various customers and concern projects in the states of Lower Saxony, Brandenburg, Schleswig-Holstein and North Rhine-Westphalia, among others, according to a statement published today.

The biggest deal was sealed with Landwind-Group for the 82-MW Gevensleben wind farm in the Helmstedt district in Lower Saxony. After the start of the installation of the first of twelve turbines, Nordex was contracted for additional N163/6.X turbines.

The turbine maker will also supply six 6-MW machines at a hub height of 164 metres (538 ft) for the 40-MW Cramme II wind farm in the district of Wolfenbuettel. The construction and commissioning of the turbines will take place in 2024.

The reported 181 MW in orders were contracted in July and August.
