Jul 2, 2013 - Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said today it had received domestic orders for the delivery of wind turbines with a total capacity of 77 MW during the past few months.
The German wind turbine maker will deliver a total of 31 systems to several locations in the country.
Most of the orders were for the N117/2400 light wind turbine, of which Nordex will deliver 24 units.
The company said there is an increased demand from the state of Thuringia, central Germany.
To respond to that demand, Nordex will open two new service centres in Thuringia in close proximity to the wind farms it is working on.
Majority of the deliveries of N117/2400 turbines in Germany are concentrated in the states of Bavaria, Thuringia, Baden-Wurttemberg and Hesse, Nordex said.
