An international project developer in the US has contracted Germany’s Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) to install a 198-MW wind farm in the state of Texas.
Nordex said in a statement today that it will supply and erect 63 units of its AW125/3150 turbines for this project. The company did not disclose the name of the customer or its project.
The German turbine supplier noted that this order utilises some equipment from a "safe harbour" transaction that took place in 2016, allowing the scheme to qualify for the 100% Production Tax Credit (PTC) if executed by end-2020.
Nordex expects to begin installation of the machines in the spring of 2020.
