Nordex delays Q1 report due to cyberattack

Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) will publish its financial report for the first quarter of 2022 about a month later in mid-June due to a cybersecurity incident that hit the German wind turbine maker at the end of March.

The quarterly report was supposed to be released on May 12 but the measures taken to contain the impact of the incident have temporarily restricted access to various systems and this has led to internal delays, Nordex said on Thursday.

Immediately after the attack, the manufacturer decided to shut down IT systems across multiple locations and business units as a precautionary measure. The incident was limited to the internal IT infrastructure and the operation of the wind turbines was not affected. Responsibility for the attack was claimed by Conti, a ransomware group siding with Russia.

Nordex noted that the exact date for the release of the report will be announced as soon as it is determined.
