October 26 (Renewables Now) - German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex (ETR:NDX1) said today that it will be supplying 37.2 MW of its systems in France next year as part of orders secured in the third quarter of 2017.

VSB Energies Nouvelles has ordered six N117/3000 turbines for the Coesmes wind project located around 40 km southeast of Rennes. Nordex said it will start delivering the machines in February 2018 and will be installing them on top of 120-metre high towers.

The German company will also be erecting eight N117/2400 turbines as part of the Valbin project near Troyes from April 2018. This scheme was developed by Eolfi and the asset is owned by investor Leonidas Associates.

Nordex noted that the second contract includes service for an initial period of 15 years. It gave no financial details regarding the deals.
