March 22 (Renewables Now) - The regional government of Navarre has adopted a text proposal of the draft decree that regulates the authorisation of new wind parks seeking to simplify administrative procedures and offer greater legal security to developers.

The general purpose of the decree is to boost the installation of wind farms and put Navarre at the forefront of renewable energy production, the government said Wednesday.

The decree will establish new regulation regarding the administrative procedures that owners of wind parks located in Navarre need to follow, as well as new environmental and urban regulation, to ensure a functional and simplified process. A transparency system for grid access will also be set up, and the inspection regime of wind parks will be regulated.
