Naturgy Renovables bags EUR 600m in green financing

February 18 (Renewables Now) - Spanish company Naturgy Renovables has secured EUR 600 million (USD 650m) in green financing for which BBVA (BME:BBVA) and CaixaBank (BME:CABK) served as lead arrangers, bookrunners and green agents.

The financing deal was announced on Monday by Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) as adviser to the green energy company. Details on the use of the proceeds or the terms of the financing have not been disclosed.

Naturgy Renovables is the unit in charge of Spanish power and gas utility Naturgy Energy Group SA’s (BME:NTGY) renewable energy operations. According to the company’s website, it has 1.18 GW of renewables in its portfolio, of which 86% is wind.
