Nandan Cleantec obtains EPA certification for biodiesel sales
Aug 16, 2013 - UK biofuel company Nandan Cleantec Plc (LON:NAND) said today it had been certified by the US Environmental Protection Agency to sell biodiesel in the US.
Following the certification, the company will be able to receive Renewable Identification Number (RINs) from selling biodiesel, as well as be eligible for tax incentives in the US. The firm now can start biodiesel production at its Indian refinery for its US client, it said.
Nandan was planning to resume biodiesel sales in April but had to wait for the EPA certification. The certification process was delayed due to administrative hurdles, it explained.
Meanwhile, the British firm said its non-executive director Bhaskar Rao Volam will step down with immediate effect.
